The fruity tea with natural sweetness
For fruit teas usually dried or lightly candied fruit is used. The classic deep red colour is due to hibiscus or rosehip. These are also responsible for the refreshing acidity of many fruit teas. A great diversity of additional flavourings gives an almost inexhaustible variety of teas.
Characteristics of fruit tea
- Fruit tea can be infused for between eight and ten minutes
- It tastes good warm or cold and can be sweetened with sugar, honey or candied sugar
- Unsweetened fruit tea is especially good for children as it has no sugar or caffeine in it
