What is the best water for which type of tea?
How water affects the flavour of tea.
The softer the water, the better the tea will taste. Especially fine black tees and green or white teas should be brewed with soft water. If your water is hard you should consider using a water filter or a suitable mineral water. It is also possible to find more robust types of tea in the shops which are relatively insensitive to hard water. These include black teas such as Assam or Ceylon and East Frisian, English and Russian blends.
